Use of gene expression tools to further analyze FLNB:
In this section, I choose to further explore three well known gene expression tools: RNA inference, chemical genetics, and microarray of FLNB. The hope is that by looking at these three additional gene expression tools I can learn if any additional work has been done on FLNB as well as further understand the FLNB gene/ protein. My findings for each of these areas are listed under the "Gene Expression Tools" tab and are linked to each of the headings below.
RNA Interference:
RNA interference (RNAi) uses small RNAs (~21 basepairs) to silence the gene expression for a protein sequence (1). |
Chemical Genetics:
Chemical genetics has great importance in discovering new chemicals that can be used for future medications (2). |
Microarray:
Microarray is a new technology that allows one to study multiple genes on one array and determine the difference in gene expression (3). |
